About

HearthKit started as a shared note between two friends who kept texting each other tips about whatever game was eating our evenings. At some point the notes got long enough to turn into a site, and here we are. Everything you read comes from someone on the team who put real hours into the game, not from a press kit.

We pick games the way most people do: something trends, a friend mentions it, or the store keeps shoving it at us. Then one of us commits to playing far enough to have an actual opinion. Sometimes that means finishing a campaign, sometimes it means grinding a progression system until we understand how it ticks.

We care about different genres. Puzzle fans and strategy nerds and the folks who just want a racing game for the bus all deserve decent guides, so we try not to drift into one corner. If a game is fun, confusing, or weirdly addictive, it probably belongs here.

We write in plain language and keep our biases visible. When we love something we say so, and when a mechanic annoys us we say that too.
