Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga is the kind of mobile RPG that respects your time but still gives you something to sink into. You build a party of four, work through a branching campaign, and fight in a clean turn-based system that rewards planning over spamming. The writing is better than it needs to be, with companions who actually change based on your choices.
Combat is where it clicks. Each character has a small, readable toolkit, and positioning on the grid matters more than raw stats. We lost a few fights early just by ignoring turn order, then suddenly everything made sense once we started chaining abilities. The difficulty curve is fair but it won't hold your hand forever.
Progression is generous without being mindless. You unlock gear, tweak builds, and the game never pushes you to grind endlessly to keep going. It's one of the few mobile RPGs we've kept installed long after the review was done.
